AN OVERVIEW OF HOW OUR SHOP WORKS…

· BUY from our wide selection of children’s clothing, (both new & gently used sizes new born – size 8), infant gear, books, and toys

· TRADE children’s clothing & shoes for an in-store credit. Customers will be offered a percentage in the form of store credit based on the quality, condition and determined resale value for each item. Customer has the option of taking 15% of the amount offered in a form of a gift card to be used in the store towards a purchase of gently used clothing or shoes, any items in the Chic Boutique, or any “new” items marked with tags. Not included are any toys, furniture, gear, or items on consignment. Cash buys are not currently available. However, they will be considered under special circumstances. Store credit can only be used on gently used clothing & shoes. *Note, store credit can be used in-store only. It can not be used on live sales, pop-ups, OR items posted on social media.

· SELL infant gear, furniture, & wooden toys. Cash buys are on an as-needed basis. Price will be determined based on price of new and used condition taken into account. Please call shop first to know what current policy is for drop offs – either during open hours or appointments may be needed.

· CONSIGN furniture items (or items) with a value larger than $50 value for a higher percentage. Items on consignment MUST be removed if not sold within 3 months.

· DONATIONS are ALWAYS accepted. If we are not able to use donated items, we will make sure it gets passed onto a local charity in need. Donations can be dropped off during any of our business hours. Please make arrangements for oversized items. Books & toys are only accepted through donations.

· WE DO NOT TAKE any clothing that shows wear, is faded, has yellowing stains, has an odor (smoke or otherwise), is stretched out, torn, or missing any buttons. We do not take infant car seats or any items that do not meet current safety standards or that appear on a recall list.

GUIDELINES

· All items must be clean, smell fresh, folded and in a labeled tub. No bags of clothing will be accepted as it is difficult to store and keep track of in our small storage area.

· Outfits (tops and matching bottoms) should be folded together for quicker sorting.

· One tub per customer and a maximum of 50 items per drop. We accept 1 drop per customer per every 3 months. Onsies, infant leggings, and infant pajamas are taken on a need only basis, as we always have plenty of inventory of those items.

· Buying times will vary depending on the current supply or by season. Please call or message to find out what we are currently buying 209.990-2380

· Most brands will be considered for resale. Brands not accepted include: Garanimals, Koala Kids, Faded Glory, Child of Mine, Jumping Beans.

· Store credit will expire if not used within 6 months of obtaining the credit. Upon request, customer may request a gift card for a percentage of their remaining balance. Customer is responsible for maintaining “proof” of current store credit by providing the “balance card” provided at the time of trade.

· Items not taken for trade MUST BE PICKED UP WITHIN 3 DAYS from when notice of store credit offer is provided or a daily storage fee will be charged. Items will be donated after 7 days. We are extremely short on storage and appreciate your respecting this policy.
